Catherine Review

If there’s one title this year that truly deserves to be called “Original”, its Atlus’s Catherine for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Catherine isn’t like any other game out there. Its not about saving the world, it doesn’t involve tough soldiers mowing down hordes of enemies. Instead, Catherine is the tale of an ordinary man named Vincent, who ends up in a situation that is beyond his comprehension. Vincent really looks and acts like any one of us would. He [...]

Captain America: Super Soldier Review

No one expects movie licensed super hero video games to be any good. Ever.  But, I had the delight of being somewhat wrong about my expectations of Captain America: Super Soldier for the Playstation 3.  I say somewhat because overall the game isn’t horrible, but then again, it is far from a masterpiece – so let’s get to it.

The game begins with the player controlling Captain America while he dives out of a plane that is flying over enemy territory.  [...]

The long awaited Deus Ex sequel Human Revolution came out today, so while we wait for an actual game review I decided to crack open my copy of the Augmented Edition and let you guys in on exactly what your in for if you pick this up. The third map pack for CoD: Black Ops has arrived, bringing four new multiplayer maps and another Zombie scenario to the table. It is evident that Treyarch are listening to the Black Ops community and are taking their feedback into consideration when designing new maps. The Annihilation map pack is a well-rounded bundle with maps that suit a variety of play styles and perhaps the most challenging Zombie chapter to date.

Hangar 18 is a medium sized map that features a [...]

Duke Nukem Forever Review

The long awaited return of Duke Nukem has finally come. Duke is back to save the world from aliens in Duke Nukem Forever (DNF), the game that likely holds the record for longest development time. The game has changed developers a number of times until finally being “finished” by pirahna games and Gearbox software, and boy does it show. Much of DNF looks and feels unpolished and is generally disappointing, but is it any fun?

The game is set 12 years [...]

inFamous 2 Review

Cole McGrath the electric man returns in inFamous 2 for more supercharged third-person action. inFamous 2 continues to build on the successful elements of the first game as well as bringing something new to the table. Cole’s second adventure is not without flaws, but inFamous 2 won’t disappoint fans of the series or anyone else looking for an electrified thrill.

The game picks up shortly after the events of the first inFamous. Cole and Zeke have survived the Empire city quarantine [...]

If you’ve been following the Uncharted series and you own a PS3, you’ve probably already downloaded the multiplayer beta from the Playstation Plus store. If you have not done so already I would recommend it. I never played the multiplayer much on the second addition to the series, but I have fallen in love with the multiplayer in the third of the series, and that is based strictly on this beta version, keep in mind folks this stuff is far [...]
