Eric Lempel, PlayStation Network Operations director, announced via the PlayStation blog that firmware update 3.01 for the PlayStation 3 is now available for download.

Eric Lempel:

“This is an optional update that improves system stability during use of some PlayStation 3 format software.”

Lempel also added:

“Yes, this will fix the issues that some users have experienced with Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.”
