I want you to take a good look the picture below (I know its distorted – stay with me on this). What is so special about this kid? He could be a gamer, right? Goes to school. Has friends. Likes to hang out at the shopping mall, whatever. Probably likes to do some “pwnage” on the weekend with his alter ego/gamertag. Without being prejudice, he could be a great kid who has a lot to offer this wonderful world. He is not.
Though he may not look like it this kid is a crook (now you know why we distorted his image). He is basically the equivalent of a cyber-thug, instead of mugging old ladies on the street for their purses he goes for gold – Xbox Live Glod, that is. That’s right. He attempts to hack your gamertag and then holds it for ransom: Xbox live subscription code.

My guess is that this Jakey-Pooh is among us hardcore gamers, and it is a shame to see someone who could very well be a bright kid resort to cyber-crime. Let me remind you – people have been sent to prison for lesser offenses. If this was my friend I’d certainly think twice before letting him near any of my personal belongings. If he can steal from a stranger he can, and most likely will, steal from a friend. His crime is severe and should be thoroughly dealt with.
Unfortunately, after this whole scandal went public on Team Xbox’s forum Jakey-Pooh has made all forms of contact´with him near impossible, but since we here at NextGN are such nice people we’ll give Jakey-Pooh a chance to tell his side of the story. Perhaps Jakey-Pooh needed to hack t Titan King´s account in order to save someones life? We’ll never know unless he contacts us – so, Jakey-Pooh, if you are out there send us an email – we are waiting to hear from ya.

Ummmm, how did he get your information in the first place? What? Did he say if you wanted a 50 in Halo 3 that to let him recover your stuff? The only way he can “hack” your information is if you give it to him…

The best thing to do in this situation is to call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and have credentials ready. The best info that can help you is your credit/debit card # that is linked to your account. Even if it’s expired like mine, the number will always be fully visible on Microsoft’s end. If you had put in a subscription code like 12 month Xbox Live card and still have the number that’s very helpful as well. There is also the possibility of punching in your secret answer to your secret question They can tell you what Live Id is associated with your account, new gamertag if changed. Not to be rude but some of the support staff might not be as knowlegable as others. (we’ve all been there “Yes I am sure this is very troublesome for you ” or “And may I call you by your first name?” repititive script) It’s best to tell them your situation real quick and ask for a supervisor. If they can’t help you they may or may not mention to go to http://login.live.com and click on customer support. As I mentioned previously about the good information to have for XBOX support should be used here as well. If you do have a secondary e-mail attached to your account your password could be sent to that granted it hasn’t been changed.
I have had the same thing happen to me before so I feel your pain but I got my account back by following those steps. If/when you get your info and you are ready to recover it is best to try to recover your account on your 360 at an oddball hour. For example is he lives in Michigan and you live in California then there is a 4 hour time difference. ( I think?) Considering the potential age of this criminal being a pre-teen then he more than likely won’t be up at 3-4 A.M. I did this myself to ensure the perp couldn’t thwart my efforts. ! IMPORTANT INFO ! Your windows live id can only be changed every 30 days, not even Microsoft can change it sadly, so mark your calender to change it if the theft happened less than a month ago. I know there are other random bits of info that could help with your recovery but I can’t recall at the moment, but, they are listed on the customer support section website of login.live.com P.S. sorry for long post and good luck
P.P.S. Also forgot to mention that you should never pay any/or more ransom cause it barely ever works + your out of a lot of money (Read a story about how a guy sent the crook over $500 worth of Microsoft Points and time cards with no results!)

No. There are tons of ways you can hack passwords, and there are actually programs that do it for you(you do have to provide proxies though)
And this is only coming from someone that’s dabbled a VERY LITTLE bit in hacking.
