We’ve recently revealed a few new rumors regarding to firmware 3.0 for the PlayStation 3. Now we learn that before PS3 fans will get their precious firmware 3.0 they will have to compromise for firmware 2.9.
According to an unnamed source:
“We’re still 6 months or so away. but 2.90 will come first. lots of things can change between now and then”

i badly want backward compatibility in the next firmware for 2.90 playstation3 and it must be region free

I agree with you completely wassim. Hurry up and make PS3s backward compatible. Although I think the reason why they stopped it in the 1st place was because it was too much money which makes me wonder if they’ll ever make PS3s backward compatible. The more they don’t do stuff, the more tempted I am to buy a 360 but everytime I get tempted I hear that one of my mates 360 has broken LOL
