When firmware update 2.80 for PlayStation 3 was released, all we knew is that it made the playback quality of some PlayStation 3 games better. That’s it.
Now it turns out that atleast two more minor tweaks were made to the system. The guys from Ps3 Attitude did some research and here’s what they’ve come up with:
- Text Chat – The character limit per line was changed from 32 to 64.
- Official Sony Bluetooth Headset – The microphone volume has been fixed at level 3, with no opportunity to change.
Also, numerous websites reported that the latest firmware update disabled a recent hack called Open Remote Play – which allowed Remote Play access to the PS3 through a variety of devices other than the PSP.
