According to Valve, the ESRB made them change the box art for Left 4 Dead 2 – saying it is too “gory”. The new box art can seen above, the original can be seen below (click on the images for a larger version of each).
Really? A game about zombie apocalypse, chainsaws, guns and axes, and your problem is two chewed off fingers? Please…
Actually, I like the new one. The original’s idea was that there were four people so the thumb was chewed off. Now, there are still four people but it’s the second game so chew off two more fingers? No. Have four fingers but fold two is much more appropriate.
And just to be clear: I’m the kind of guy that is against almost any kind of censorship. As long as it’s not against people raping babies or something.
