Midway’s Mortal Kombat team (about 50 developers) is currently in active talks with other publishers in order to leave the company. It is told that one of the reasons for the move is unpaid bonuses based on sales for the Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe team.
According to a PR rep:
“Midway is not refusing to pay out those bonuses. It’s the unsecured creditors committee that is refusing to allow us to pay them. They’re the ones holding that up.”
