Maxis Game’s Spore and Media Molecule’s LittleBigPlanet both rule with thier user-created content, but Maxis believes that they are still better then LitleBigPlanet and that Spore’s hype is not diminished by LittleBigPlanet’s hype.

So it seem that Maxis is telling us that Spore is better then LittleBigPlanet. Well, I would rather play user created stages with enemies, vehicles, objects, stickers and much more than create space themed objects and creatures on a game that crashes often (trust me, I have played both and LittleBigPlanet has a wider space of creativity then that of Spore) – But that is just my opinion.

That has got to be one of the most ignorant interpretations of a quote I’ve ever seen.
Let’s start with the fact that only ONE person in Maxis said this, and not the entire company. Second of all, he/she said and I quote “They don’t have anything near our numbers of things created. I don’t think their base editors are as easily accessible as our editors, I think we really have that on them.”
Even a chimpanzee could realize that what the senior producer was saying is that Spore has more creations than LittleBigPlanet has (And it does, yes I have played both) and that Spore’s creative tools are more easily usable by a casual gamer (Which they are, and once again I have played both).
I don’t know how you misinterpreted her comment that bad, but please try and use your brain next time. Nowhere in the quote did the Maxis rep say that Spore was the superior game.
P.S.: The irony here is that I couldn’t stand Spore, but I love LittleBigPlanet. However, I’m not going to throw logic out the window to skewer quotes.
