A new Gears of War 2 patch is expected to be released by the end of the month and new Achievements to come with it.
7 new Flashback and Combustible map packs related (total worth of 175G) was revealed by Xbox.com.
According to Epic, the new patch will fix some of the online exploits and make some small changes in order to improve the online gameplay.

I hope they are HUGE changes in order to improve the online gameplay. Epic dont try and fix what isnt broken…Oh wait to late all you can do now is salvage the remains.

The problems on Gears are there but far more due to the fact that people just suck at playing its unique strategic style, if you shoot someone up close with a shotgun it doesn’t matter how close you are if you’re aim is off, as you’re first shot may have wounded your opponent his one or two steps closer to you for a critical shot is what killed you and not him.
Eh it’s too late, Epic screwed the online aspect of the game. The game was perfect as it was yet Cliffy decided to fuck it up. I definitely wont be returning unless the fixes are huge, specifically the shotty and the chainsaw, among some other things, too.
change all the host glitches and the ammo glitch and boom shild there so irritating

Honesstly, I do not see any problem with GoW2 after about 2 months of online play. When everyone was whining about the lag, I got matches in a time that rivals Halo 3 matchmaking. Now, when everyone is whining about the glitches, I agree that they are indeed unfair and therefore no fun for everyone else, (I don’t even think it’s fun for the person who is glitching) I still have yet to see someone in my match to do such a thing.
I like most of the new patch.. except the shotty feels like it hits way to hard in the hands of the host at long range. I was on Day one, on the top level and was downed in ONE SHOT by the host while he was on the bottom. PROTIP: Shotguns are not ranged weapons. Please fix this long range shotty bs.
