Square Enix told Reuters that the next installment of Final Fantasy will be released in Japan in late 2009 and will hit other regions after April 2010. No release date for Versus XIII or Agito XIII yet. This proves the Final Fantasy XIII to Be Released Worldwide in 2009 rumor to be only a rumor.
