With Resistance: Retribution for PSP not released yet, no one really cares about the menu selection in Resistance 2 that allows you to link up your PSP to the PS3 and “infect” your PSP. Sony has released details on what would happen when you link the two consoles:

• New storyline: play as an “infected” James Grayson with new abilities including swimming, health regeneration and increased strength.
• New Specter uniform
• New R2 weapon: HE .44 Magnum
• Access to new single-player areas

For this content to be unlocked you will need both Resistance 2 for PS3 and Resistance: Retribution for PSP.
