CD Projekt RED and Atari have announced the The Witcher for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. The newest version will have the original story from the PC game along with its side quests and all the additions that came with the enchanted edition. It will use a brand new game engine developed to use the power of the console’s – this will not just be a port. The control and battle system will be reworked to give the gamer the opportunity to experience the full power of the Witcher. The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf will be released in autumn 2009.
