Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe was apparently given an M-rated game rating by ESRB. In response, Midway decided to tone down the game in order to keep a T-rating – which means bigger sales.

On a recent video (seen below), Ed Boon was showing some gameplay footage from the game. The finishing move of the Joker that is shown in the video is one of the things that were toned down. Instead of seeing the shot to the head, the ending part of that move will happen off-screen.
